Putting mindfulness & play into parenting with fun ideas & kids meditation.

Life is busy, technology is moving faster than ever before & time to spend with our children can often be simply getting dinner, laundry done & everyone where they need to be.  I need more fun in my life than that & I also want the connection with my children to be more than just the getting things done part of life!

Who am I?

I’m a Mom to 2 sporty boys, who eat a lot & who’s choices for down time are not often choices I make for myself.  I am also the proud holder of a Teaching Degree in Early Childhood development & I truly believe that inside us all is a child who loves fun.

What I believe

Doing fun things with our children creates a deeper connection with them.  With deeper connection we create opportunities to talk, to laugh & to be seen experiencing joy, which is so important!

What I’ve Done

I’ve added a big dose of FUN back into our lives using the non traditional days of the year like; World Puppy Day (March 23rd) & Pet Day (April 11th) to create a little unexpected difference to our regular schedule on the particular day.

The Plan

June 3rd is the next one & from now on I’m going to share the day & some of my ideas about how to add a bit of connection through fun with your children.

Food ideas:

Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner inspirations.

Craft ideas:

Using what’s available in your house or you may need to get a few things from the store.

Book ideas:

Using what’s already on your shelf, get it from the library or borrow it from a friend.

Classroom ideas:

For teachers, setting up an experience that acknowledges the day.

For the rest of us, taking something to school to share.

Mindful Minutes:

Time spent together doing something that acknowledges the day.

I look forward to sharing in the fun with you all & of course I’d love to hear what you think, what you tried, what you’ve done to add more fun into your life with your children.
